Does Anyone Know How To Remove Stains From A Vinyl Floor?

Author: I think its a rust stain from the water, its right beside the bathtub. Its kind of Orange in color. Also a hair dye stain right in the middle of the floor. I have tried 409 and Brillo pads but no luck. Any help out there? Thanks in advance.

1st the hair dye, try rubbing alcohol (isopropyl alcohol) on a clean white cloth., if that doesn’t work try a tiny bit of mineral spirits or turpentine, if THAT don’t get rid of it, try fingernail polish remover containing acetone , and for all of these use a clean white cloth.. they may also work on the rust stain, but those are difficult, though I have had luck with a commercially available pruduct called CLR, and also those toilet bowel cleaners that shoot under the rim… wear gloves (rubber) , and safety goggles/glasses.
Replace the vinyl flooring, you might get the rust stain off with calcium and rust deposit cleaner such as CLR but the dye can’t be removed, it will usually stain permanent once they have dried or set.
I’ve found an ebook with 101 uses of hydrogen peroxide as an environmentally safe cleaner. This ebook has different household products you can mix with peroxide to clean various things, even mold & mildew. I know it bubbles out blood stains from clothing. It’s cheap so give it a try. You might also mix it with baking soda on the rust and hair dye.
