So far I haven’t found a decent car shampoo that does what I want it to do. Most of the shampoos I purchased were in a can and some of them weren’t made for cleaning the carpet in your car. Can anyone here recommend a good carpet shampoo that won’t leave any leftover residue and can be vacuumed up with my shop-vac? Also, the safer the shampoo is to use on all carpet types the better.

Any suggestions? My boyfriend and I got a puppy, and now that he’s house trained, I have to get this light “scent” out of the carpet before it drives me nuts!
BTW, I’ve used Brawn stain remover every time the little one had an “accident”, along with steam cleaning the carpets once already. His smell still lingers, however. Eh, gross.

I was drinking last night and one thing lead to the next. I woke up and noticed a cigarette burn in my bedroom carpet. What would be the best way to repair the burned area of carpet. I have been looking at several ideas on the Internet and I am up for a few more.

Hardwood > carpet > vinyl floors. (probably the same order for cost, too).
Real hardwoods – no laminate flooring that looks like hardwood.

I’m writing an article for a magazine, and I need a great, not copyrighted photograph of a house decked out with awesome green features, such as bamboo or concrete flooring, recycled glass backsplashes, copper sinks, or other Green building materials.
Anyone know where I can get one?

I have a carpet run and under that is the original color. Everywhere else surrounding it is really dark. I want to remove the run but then it looks awful. Is there anything i can do to make it look better.

My new room is going to have a neutral color, and my parents got bamboo flooring for the whole upstairs. I want to have a bamboo (lucky) in my room. I dont know what sort of theme im going for. i want pictures of waterfalls, volcanos, beach, palm trees. Stuff like that. oh and i’m going for a low platform bed sound good? any ideas???

Have you consdered replacing and putting in bamboo flooring?
It looks beautiful, very durable, (especially important with kids)
and the room division, it’s imposible for me to know without actually seeing a floor plan to know where you can put a wall.
folding screens work well.

If your not country, and your house is, I’d do a total 360 and put only extreme modern furniture there. Or go with shabby chic, look at Restoration Hardware.

I just moved into a new rental home. Unfortunately there is butt ugly forest green carpet in the living area, hall, and bedrooms. I could probably deal with it in the bedrooms but my living room? Oh no. No way. Anybody have a good solution? I tried to pull it up; can’t really tell if there is anything under there. The landlord doesnt care what i do…as long as i pay for it…and no im not getting new carpet laid; It is a rental after all.
