Anyone Have Problems With Domco Vinyl Floor W/ Wood Look?
We’re considering getting Congoleum in the wood floor look because friends of ours have had theirs for 8 yrs. and it looks awesome. We ran across the Domco vinyl floor w/ the wood look and like it better because it comes in a wide plank version. Anyone have experience w/ Domco wood vinyl?

Wood Or Bamboo?
I am planning on putting in new flooring on the main floor. I was thinking of wood and then saw bamboo. I know bamboo is better for the environment. I have pets and need durable hopefully if possible scratch free. I would love input from people with experience with both or either.

How To Get A Bamboo Wood Floor To Shine???!?
I just moved into an apartment not long ago, and the whole place is set with dark bamboo wood floors. The thing about the finish to this wood- is that it’s almost a satin or matte finish, with not much shine unlike typical lacquer-type coated wood floords. To get a few hundred bucks off my rent each month I told my landlord that I could sweet and mop all the floors in this building. 1. For some reason dirt is not easily picked up from this type of floor- mopping just leaves mopped looking dried dirt (any good mop ideas?) 2. Even when I get the floors in my own place very clean, they have a vague glow at best, Any products out there like Orange-glo that could help leave some shine? And what’s the best way to get the dirt up without mopping 8 times over

Wood Flooring Installtion?
Im installing wood floor, or more exactly bamboo flooring. Basically the same thing, different type of substance. but my question is that I want to make the wood planks for my front door to go vertical and i want them to offset as well. Im not sure if that the term but what i mean is i want them laid like bricks where one plank is in the middle of the gap of the neighboring plank. But i only want ti to go vertical for a 7×10 rectangle in front of the door. After that I want the rest of the floor every where else in the living room and hall etc… to go horizontal. The problem is that when I cut the planks to offset them, I wont have a grove to connect it to another piece. So how can i fix this problem?

I am moving out and need to have the floors in my apartment look ship shape. I have vinyl floors (I think). It looks like I have wooden floor boards but I am told they are proberly vinayl (all the plastic coating is long gone). How do I clean it – Help!
