Will Vinyl Floor Tiles Or Lino Adhere Ok To Ceramic Tiles In The Bathroom?

Author: I’ve bought a house with a tiled bathroom floor and they’re really dirty as the previous owners glued carpet to them! I was wondering if I could cover them up with vinyl floor tiles or lino but am concerned it won’t stick properly. Anyone got any ideas on this?

Will Dark Bamboo Floors Show Everything?
I just bought samboca (black/dark) bamboo floors,for my front entryway, stairs, kitchen, living & dinning room. Now I am freaking out. Will this show every footprint? I took out one panel from the box and saw my fingerprints all over it. I am nervouse that this will show to much dirt & footprints? Especial when the sun hits the floor. I love the color & the material, but before I put it in, should I do this? I am doing half my house, am I crazy to put dark woodflooring in?

Plain as possible, one without much pattern to it. the busier the pattern, the smaller the room will look.

Will Self Adhesive Vinyl Floor Tiles Stick To Particle Board Flooring?
pulled up old carpet, found particle board flooring underneath. I want to put down self adhesive tiles, do i need any special prep on this flooring before putting down tiles?
What Type Of Carpet Pad Will Reduce Impact And Airborn Sound Transmission?
We live in an apartment where we can hear everything above us (footsteps, talking, cell phones vibrating, etc.). Our landlords claim to have installed a carpet with padding in the room above us, but there is no difference in sound transmission. Does anyone know specifically what type of padding should be used to reduce these noises? It is currently impossible to sleep or relax in our apartment and we have another five months before our lease is up. I would like specifics to take to the rental company so we can get something that will actually work.

Will My Cats Claws Damage A Bamboo Floor?
cats are not declawed, but nails are trimmed. cats are indoor only.
Thinking Of Installing Bamboo Floors. Have Chocolate Lab, Will They Hold Up Or Get Really Scuffed/scratched?

Will A Carpet Shrink If Washed In A Large Bath Tub?
I have a fairly small living room and the carpet is in dire need of cleaning. I can’t really afford to hire a carpet cleaner etc. I was thinking about lifting up the carpet and washing it in my bath. Is this a stupid idea? If it is likely to shrink, by how much? A small amount of shrinkage would be ok.
