Can A Landlord Assume A Carpet Will Last As Long As Possible?
I just had a pro carpet cleaner not want to clean the rug because of its age and the damage I’ve done to it. Does the landlord have the right to charge me over 1,000 to replace it? Its a two bedroom and we’ve been here 6 years. Do most carpets have a 10 year life expectancy? Or can a landlord assume it will last as long as it is taken care of properly? Is there a law about normal life expectancy of apartment carpeting?

Will Baking Soda Cause Any Dis-colourisation In My Carpet?

Where Will I Find Self-adhesive Vinyl Floor Tiles With A Great Variety To Choose From In Brisbane?
The tiles are about 305 x 305 mm square. I would like a colour variation of blue and white. They usually come in a box of about 45 squares – priced rather cheap.

My Hubby And I Will Be Closing On Our First Home Tomorrow We Are Shelling Out About 4500 Cash To Close The?
deal. OK the previous homeowner was a smoker and the house reeks of smoke however we want to be financially smart and tackle projects 1 at a time, we know we are going to paing, clean air ducts etc. However r lost abt flooring ALL of the carpet in the house needs to be replaced however should we just do a professional clean on the carpet in there until we lay our bamboo floors, lay a partial amnt of bamboo floors or just lay new carpet down until we can afford the bamboo floors in a couple of wks what would you do. Also we still have a couple of more weeks in our apt b4 we have to move
How Do I Attach Rugs On Top Of A Carpet? My House Is Carpeted; My Rugs Will Not Stay In Place On The Carpets.?
I am concerned that using the commonly available tapes will damage the underlying carpet. Specifically, if I used carpet tape to attach my rugs to my carpet, if I decide to remove the rugs and tape will my under carpet not be damaged? I appreciate any ideas. Thanks!
Will Having A Professional Carpet Cleaning Service Clean My Carpets Kill And Prevent Mold Growth?
The whole-house air conditioning unit in my apartment is located indoors. The unit was leaking for sometime before I even realized that it was occuring (w/i the past 4-5 weeks). The carpet was saturated and now the landlord is willing to have the carpet cleaned but not replaced. Will just having them professionally cleaned kill and prevent mold growth?

What Kind Of Scatter Rugs Will Not Damage My Off White Vinyl Flooring?
I have vinyl flooring in my bathroom that is 3 years old. It was part of a modular home, so I don’t know what brand it is, but we chose the upgraded quality of flooring. I bought a non-slip scatter rug. It caused my off white flooring to turn yellow where it laid in less than a year. I threw it away and bought a different non-slip runner. When mopping the floor, I can already see the image of the ridges of the new runner’s non-slip material. What kind of rug is safe to use with vinyls, and still not slide all over? Can I do anything about the yellowing? Thanks.
