Okay, this is tough to explain and I have a pic that I can e-mail if it helps. I have white, white vinyl floors in my kitchen. The lady that lived here before me put them in.. I plan on getting tile installed but it’s going to be a while… The problem: around my fridge I have these weird organish/brown stains. They sort of look like scruff marks. I’ve tried everything and can not get them off (by everything I mean your typical cleaner products for floors.) I have also tried a white eraser but nothing seems to work. Any suggestions?

We are putting up crown molding in our “billiards” room in the “sunken in” bottom floor of our tri-level townhome. The walls are a deep red. We have an espresso pub table and an espresso mirror. The fabric on the sofa is a cream/tan with brown lines. The cieling is white. The room opens up to the kitchen and there are three bamboo shades (on the darker side). The fireplace tile is kind of a golden yellow/tan color but we may change that someday to match the sofa more… The question is whether we should go with white crown molding (even though there isn’t really any white in the room) or whether we should stain it to bring in the color from the bamboo shades or a color from the sofa (creamy tan or medium brown). I have only really seen white crown molding before but Lowe’s sells quite a bit of stained crown molding too. So, we thought it would be good to consider our options.

A brand new bottle of Clorox 2 took a tumble down the stairs and exploded all over our white carpet. I have been trying in vain to remove it using our carpet shampooer and hot water, but no luck. Any ideas?

I have vinyl flooring in my bathroom that is 3 years old. It was part of a modular home, so I don’t know what brand it is, but we chose the upgraded quality of flooring. I bought a non-slip scatter rug. It caused my off white flooring to turn yellow where it laid in less than a year. I threw it away and bought a different non-slip runner. When mopping the floor, I can already see the image of the ridges of the new runner’s non-slip material. What kind of rug is safe to use with vinyls, and still not slide all over? Can I do anything about the yellowing? Thanks.

I recenty managed to get biro ink on my white vinyl floor in the bathroom. I was washing a biro stain off my trousers with cold water and some of the inky water splashed onto the floor – I didn’t spot it until the next day and now can’t get it off!
Already tried – hair spray, clearicel spot cream, white spirit, vinegar, salt, detergent, harpic blue bleach, other alcohol based products, butter, hot water, soapy water, and nothing is working.
Does anyone know an actual tried and tested method to remove biro ink stains from vinyl flooring?
Any help would be great, thanks

I need to source a white carpet for my house and am finding it difficult to find a supplier. Any ideas would be great.

My white vinyl flooring has turned a greyish, yellowish color. It always looks dirty. Do anyone know how to turn it back to a white color?

I moved into a house with white vinyl flooring in the kitchen and over several years, it seems like it just gets harder and harder to clean and keep clean. I have tried everything I can think of. I have stripped it with ammonia and used floor polish, bleached it, scrubbed it with comet, tried every other commercial cleaner available and still it looks dingy. I don’t have the time or money right now to replace the floor. Does anyone have any suggestions to renew the original shiny white luster to my floor? This is embarrassing!
