Matching And Patching Vinyl Sheet Flooring?

Author: After a kitchen remodel we had a few large pieces of vinyl sheet flooring left over. I decided to use these as a new floor for my 11 ft by 8 ft home office. The largest piece covered about 60% of the area but to match the pattern I had to use 3 more pieces cut just right. I tried to match and cut the edges the correct way but my knife had issues slicing through the two layers along the straight edge. I gave up and cut and glued one piece by eye and steady hand. It worked good and you cannot tell that there are 2 pieces. Now I have the other two open seams where the knife did not do me good and I really dont want to glue the edges until I am sure there will be no spaces. Can I patch a strip where it is irregular by removing 2 inches and replacing with an evenly cut piece. What can I use and do I need a seam sealer product?

Sheet Vinyl Flooring?
I have a fairly small bathroom that has old ceramic tile floor. I’ve come to the conclusion that taking up this old tile is going to be very difficult and result in some major chipping of the subfloor in the process. I’m tempted to just install sheet vinyl over the tile. Can this be done? How do I need to prepare the tile in order to lay the vinyl? Also, there’s one spot behind the toilet that really needs some leveling. Is there a good floor leveler that I can trowel down that will adhere to tile? thanks.

Asbestos In Vinyl Sheet Flooring Adhesive?
I talked to someone about asbestos in my vinyl sheet flooring and was told that it wasn’t really a problem but that the adhesive could be. There ’s wood floor underneath and we were hoping to refinish it. The house was built in 68 but I’m pretty sure the flooring was installed later. The person I spoke with frightened me, so I thought I’d get a second opinion. Thanks.
Does Older Vinyl Sheet Flooring Contain Asbestos, Or Just Vinyl Tiles?
Our home was built in 68, but I don’t believe the vinyl sheet flooring is original. It’s coming loose and there is hardwood underneath. I’m trying to figure out what to do next, but the pattern is not available, so I can’t even research where it came from or when it was made. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Anyone Know How To Repair Sheet Vinyl Flooring With Dents In It?
I have a cushioned sheet vinyl floor in my kitchen and have moved the washing machine, there are now dents in the floor when the washing machine’s feet were on the vinyl. Is there any way to remove or reduce these marks. I have similar dents where the breakfast bar stools used to go. Underneath the vinyl is a slighly cushioned waterproof membrane (as recommended for laying vinyl on concrete). It seems the vinyl needs to slightly shrink to lessen the dents but i don’t know how to achieve this. Thanks

Can I Install Sheet Vinyl Over Laminate Flooring?
The laminate in my kitchen is impossible to keep dry all the time because of children! Can sheet vinyl flooring be installed on top of it and removed later to sell the house? I don’t know what we would do at the transitions in this case, though the baseboards would hold down the edges.
How Do You Lay Out A Sheet Of Vinyl Flooring Over Plywood In A Kitchen?
I have an old house and i am remodeling the kitchen. I have old plywood on the floor and I just bought some new plywood and a sheet of vinyl flooring. The guy that is suppose to be putting it in for me may not be able to now and I need it done this weekend as I am suppose to be moving into my house next weekend. Can someone please help me out and tell me how to do it myself?
