Where To Go, Who To Ask For Really Inexpensive Linoleum Or Vinyl Flooring?

Author: I am desperate! I rent and my landlord could care less what I do to my home (which is good for me), but won’t pay for it. How do I find cheap flooring (198sq ft) for a kitchen with original linoleum floors over 47 yrs. old? It looks more like a garage then a kitchen floor, that’s how bad it is. I’m obviously not picky, just on a budget of $125 or less.

Do Store Bought Carpet Cleaners Really Work?
I have a new puppy and he has been causing little stains here and there on my carpet. We didn’t realize it and now the stains have set in. I’m trying to decide if renting a carpet cleaning machine is worth it, or is buying one from a Target type store better.
I have never used one of the store bought carpet cleaners so I have no idea if they really work. Any suggestions out there?
How Well Do Bamboo Floors Really Hold Up? And Can They Be Refinished When They Get Dull Or Scratched?
They hold up really well under normal useage..They only can be refinished if they are a full 3/4″ thick board. The thinner board s cannot be sanded and refinished..Up keep, as with any flooring especially wood ,is a must to keep them looking good. GL

Thinking Of Installing Bamboo Floors. Have Chocolate Lab, Will They Hold Up Or Get Really Scuffed/scratched?

Can I Cover Tile Floor With The Roll Out Vinyl Flooring? The Tile In My Bathroom Is Really Ugly.?

Is Laminate Flooring Really Cheaper Than Carbonized Bamboo, In The Long Run?
Per Square Foot, laminate (78ยข sf) is a lot cheaper than carbonized bamboo ($1.99 sf ). We were thinking of putting laminate in our home for that reason.
Then we were told that we have to install a layer of plastic moisture guard and a layer of cloth under the laminate. But with the bamboo, we can glue it directly to the cement sub-floor.
Is this true? If so why?
(If it is true, it seems to negate the $avings on the laminate).

How Can I Clean Really Soiled Carpet?
We have a light beige carpet in our apartment.
(Including the dining area)
We have two young boys (Enough said?)
who spill EVERYTHING.
I’ve tried using a carpet shampooer / steam cleaner… I’ve tried bleach & carpet cleaning liquid that I bought.. but nothing gets rid of the soils. (pinkish juice, dirt, etc)
Bleach lightened it slightly, but didn’t get rid of it completely.
Any ideas of how I can get these carpets clean?
