Can I Install A Piece Of “new” Vinyl Floor That Is 10+ Years Old?

Author: I have an old piece of “new” vinyl flooring – about 6′ x 9′ and still rolled up in the original wrapping. I purchased it more than 10 years ago with intent to install in a bathroom and then forgot about it until I found it recently. Can I still use it or are there any reasons why I shouldn’t?

I am purchasing new carpet and have removed the old.
The original pad appears to be in good condition (resilient)
except where it was crushed under the bed.

Everything I Need To Know Before I Install 5/8″: Bamboo 3 1/2″ X 6′ Flooring. Tools, Installation Technique’s,
sourcers of info, tools i will need, underlayment, i am ripping out carpet and have a 3/4′ ply stranded subfloor. cleats or staples? bamboo is pre finished. t&g. over the next couple of months i will do about 2000 sq. ft. and 3 stair wells. please maske it easy for me. also want some soundproofing. will be adding cat5e, water to deck, a/v(4 twisted pair shielded) 20 amp to most most outlets etc. also will attempt to balance hvac system(any help here?) i don’t have flow or pressurew meters yet nor IF-thermo. also need to inject insullation foam around all windows and doors. then paint. if you live in chi town anbd are bored let me know. I know all the trades but have a bum shoulder and back. all ideas and info is wellcome!
