I’m redecorating/rearranging my room, and I had a few questions.
We’re putting in new floors, so the ugly blue carpet will be replaced with a dark hardwood floor. (This is not my room, but this is what the floors will look like: http://img214.imageshack.us/img214/2552/…
I’m tired of the way my room is arranged now, and I was thinking about moving things around since it will all have to be moved anyways for the floor to be put in.

(I’ll eventually paint the room a really light beige color. Also, my bed spread is very old, and I’m trying to look for one that will go with my theme. There was a perfect silk comforter at Target, but I don’t think they’re carrying it anymore. The windows are going to repainted, and bamboo blinds will be put in. My screen doors on the closet are painted blue, but will be removed, and my dad and I were thinking about putting bamboo there instead-like blinds or a curtain)
Please let me know what you think, or if you have suggestions/ideas/plans throw them out there! ^^

I am 17 and going to college next summer. I want to make my room really nice before I leave.
I like in a condo, so my room is not that big.
I have a glass computer desk, bamboo dresser/bed (brown) and wood floor in my room (like a regular brown)

like that kind of but a tad bit darker.
and there is molding on the bottom same as the wood floor.
I dont want to make it too girlish. i want to put up picture frames and stuff before i leave so yeah.
I want to do it pink or purple, but i dont know if it would go with the wood floor.
i have light green right now and it goes but i havvent found curtains to go with it for the past like 2 years!
i want to do a mocha/light brown, but i don’t know exactly which kind ( i was looking on Benjamin Moore website)
what color would look nice (from what i suggested or anything else also =) )

ok so im redoing my bathroom and i have a REALLY old house so there are some problems.
ventilation- i dont have a fan or anything and i dont think my mom will agree to instal one seeming it would be expensive and what no. i only have on window and its half in the shower half out (weird i know) so i can really open it while im showering unless i want the whole world to see me. I usually open it after i shower but my bathroom still seems to get moildy and what not. how can i increase venatlation
Color- i need a good color for a small bathroom. what kind of paint can i get that would get rid of mold like mold resistant paint or somthing
curtains- what kind of window treat ment should i get for a small window because the one i have is a bamboo shade that is a little moldey because it is half in my shower. i not sure what to do
(and to help with color my floor tiles are lightish gray and blue so colors that would go well with that)

How do I clean it? Do I need to use wax? The floor doesn’t look that red as before but more like greyish.

I have bamboo floors in my apartment. My landlord allowed me to have two cats and did not notify me that bamboo floor are easily scratched by animals and high heels and pretty much anything that moves or drops on the floor. The landlord gave me no care information about my new apartment at all and this being my first time renting I didn’t know better. I have lived hear a year and am moving and fearful that my landlord will try to keep my damage deposit. This is a “green” apartment with many materials I am not used to with no instruction on how to care for them. I have counters that need to be waxed to prevent water stains… NO ONE told me this so there is a ring on the counter that I told my landlord about and she then said I needed to wax my counters.
Lastly, I have unwaxed (no shine) linoleum blue floors in my bathroom that have a yellowish stain from a rubber mat (now that I look on the internet I see that this is a chemical reaction and you should not have rubber mats on the floor) Again, no one told me. My landlord not only saw the rubber mat but suggested it because of my cats litter box (she also has cats).
I’m just wondering if she will be able to charge me for these things. She has 1000 damage deposit from me. I’m fearful because they are in a financial bind that they will try to charge me for even more.
