Do I Have To Remove The Toilet To Put Down Laminate Flooring In The Bathroom?
Right now there’s vinyl flooring there and I want to put down this laminate that looks like stone. I just don’t know if I have to remove the toilet to put it in or do I cut around it and caulk? I want it to look as professional as possible. I just don’t want it to scream “AMATEUR”.
Does Anyone Have A Dyson And Frieze Carpet?
I’m getting ready to put new frieze carpet (similar to a shaggy carpet). I have a dyson vacume cleaner & I have heard that it doesnt vacume that well on frieze carpet. Is that true? Is that type of carpet durable? Thanks for your feedback.
Has Anyone Ever Had Vinyl Flooring In Their Living Room? I Have Heard It Is A Good Option?
You can do whatever you want if you own your own home. There are several types of vinyl tiles that replicate hardwood flooring…so I could see someone putting that in a family room I guess. I personally wouldn’t think it would be practical with kids since it gets dinged up easily. I would stick with old reliable laminate floors in a living room myself. It’s easy to install and much more durable.
Bamboo Products: Does Anybody Have Any Good Ideas For Things That Could Be Made Out Of Bamboo?
I’m trying to get opinions from people for things of which they think bamboo would make a good substitute in place of wood.
FYI: Bamboo is actually a grass and grows right back up through where it was cut so therefor it doesn’t need to be replanted and it grows back completely within 3 years. Using bamboo helps replace wood that might otherwise be coming from our precious Rain Forests.
Products already known and being made include: cutting boards, plywood, veneer, counter tops, picture frames, stair parts, flooring, paneling and moulding.
I need ideas of things practical and fairly easy to produce. I, myself, can recall from time to time throughout my daily life of times where I’ve thought, “wouldn’t it be great if they made this or that or what if this could be made with something more environmentally-friendly?” Bamboo is extremely strong. Stronger than a lot of wood types. So I’m asking if anybody here has had those same thoughts and has any ideas for bamboo. Thank You!

I Have A Vinyl Floor That Shows Nail Bumps And Edges Of Plywood?
The vinyl is only glued at the edges.
My kitchen sub floor wasn’t installed correctly. The wood has expanded so that you can feel bumps from the nail heads and in some areas the raised edge of the plywood.
I don’t think there is any thing I can do about the plywood but I am not sure about the nails. Anyone have any ideas?
Anyone Have Problems With Domco Vinyl Floor W/ Wood Look?
We’re considering getting Congoleum in the wood floor look because friends of ours have had theirs for 8 yrs. and it looks awesome. We ran across the Domco vinyl floor w/ the wood look and like it better because it comes in a wide plank version. Anyone have experience w/ Domco wood vinyl?
Can I Have A Photo Of Your Green (environmentally-friendly) House?
I’m writing an article for a magazine, and I need a great, not copyrighted photograph of a house decked out with awesome green features, such as bamboo or concrete flooring, recycled glass backsplashes, copper sinks, or other Green building materials.
Anyone know where I can get one?
How Can I Remove Vinyl Flooring? It Is Very Stubborn Tried Hot Water And We Have A Scrapper. Not Working?
You will need to use a heat gun or a blowtorch. Heat the flooring until it’s pliable, then it should pull out. Then go over the adhesive with the heat and a scraper to remove the excess. Hope this helps.
