Hardwood Floor Install/repair Question?

Author: I hired someone to install 650 sq feet of 5/8 inch thick bamboo flooring. I have just discovered the idiot did not glue it all down and certain boards are loose. Of course the scumbag has vanished! I have heard that I can use nail gun (Hilte brand can be rented from Home Depot) that would be powerful enough to go thru the wood into the concrete floor below it to correct instead of pulling the entire floor to correct and tighten all the boards. Can some confirm if this is a viable option that I can do without damage to the wood? Of course, I want to use nails with a head small enough that they won’t be seen.

im changing my carpets to hardwood floor, at first i wanted to use bamboo but a few people told me it doesnt last like the other ones. i need something that is durable, i got kids and my brother likes to bring his 2 dogs here for a visit too.
Wide Plank Or Standard Hardwood Floor?
i’m looking to get a bamboo floor. i was just wondering if anyone has experience with wide plank flooring. I’ve only seen samples, not whole floors, but it seems 3 1/4 inch wide floor strips are more attractive than the wide planks. can anyone with experience chime in with pros and cons?
Can I Staple/nail Into The Groove Of Hardwood Floor?
I am installing bamboo hardwood flooring and want to know can you staple/nail into the groove of a the floor or do you strictly have to staple/nail into the tongue of a tongue and groove lock in floor.

In Installintg Hardwood Floors Can We Just Put It On Top Of Vinyl?
For the carpet side, can we just remove the carpet and put another subfloor to make it level with the vinyl flooring? It is easier for us that way since there is only a little portion of carpet flooring.

Is It Okay To Mix Hardwood Floor Types From Room To Room?
Not only is it okay, but does it look reasonable to mix a red oak hardwood floor (present in the entire house) with a pale bamboo floor in a bedroom? We are thinking of tearing up the bedroom carpet and putting a hardwood floor in instead. There are, of course, doors between the red oak hallway floor and the bedroom floor. Is this sort of mixing aesthetically attractive? I haven’t been able to find any picture examples of this on the internet. Thank you!
Bamboo Vs. Hardwood Floors?
I’m buying a brand new house and I’m thinking of what type of flooring is best.
By default, the house comes with tiles for the entry, kitchen, hallway, and living room. I’m thinking of getting bamboo or hardwood floors instead.
1. Which is cheaper?
2. Which is less “slippery” since I have an elderly grandmother living with me
3. Which is more durable and will last through the years?
4. Which is less prone to scratching and denting so easily?
What is your opinion on this?
Flooring Product With Easy Installation Like Laminate, Beauty Of Real Hardwood?
My husband and I would never attempt installing real hardwood flooring between the glue and all that. However, laminate (Pergo) is easy to install for us. Is there any product out there that is either real wood or bamboo or some other natural material that looks great yet still is just as easy to install like pergo (no glue). Thanks.
