How To Cover A Garage Door From The Inside? Curtains?
I am moving into a two car garage that has been renovated into a nice studio apartment. Beautiful kitchen, wonderful bathroom, hardwood flooring, etc. Now the only drawback is that the city building codes prohibit the owner from building a wall over the garage door. The owner got a contractor to fully seal and insulate the garage door but the hardware is still on it (including on the ceiling) and cannot be removed….again, due to city building codes. I am planning to paint the metal hardware the color of the ceiling to sort of blend it in. Now how do I cover the garage door? Huge curtain? Some kind of bamboo panels? I have no idea! The owner is not very creative and neither am I.
Just so you know, I’m decorating the place with a Provence theme….so it’s feminine, simple yet elegant.
Thank you!
How To Cover Parquet Floor With Vinyl Tiles?
There is parquet flooring throughout the house. It was covered by carpeting to sell it. Lucky us. We are replacing rug with vinyl tiles. How would I stick the tiles to the parquet? Some of them are separating. Should we put some kind of board like luan over it or should we remove it all. I’d rather cover it if possible. Trying to keep the mess down. Please help. Was thinking of covering it with luan then putting down the vinyl tiles. Would this work? Please help!
Any Ideas For A Temporary, Removable Cover For Cement Walls?
We live in a condo that we own, however, the balcony outside is made entirely of cement. The floor is grey and the ceiling and walls of the balcony are this hideous peach colour. This cannot be painted as it is in the condo agreement. It can however, be covered and we are trying to look for something to cover the peach that can easily be removed when we sell. I have just purchased some cheap bamboo blinds to hang on either wall for right now but it still does not look good. Any suggestions?

What Is The Best Way To Install New Vinyl Flooring Over Old Vinyl Flooring? Tear Out Or Cover Up?
Get the new Dupont Vinyl floor tiles that come in squared stickers that you just remove the adhesive backing and stick down. They look just like tiles, but they are not. The squares are usually 12X12, and you get 40 in a box for maybe $20.
