Best Way To Clean Concrete Slab?
We’re going to put bamboo flooring downstairs over the slab.
We first need to apply self-leveling concrete to even out the contours caused by roots, settling over the years. Then we need to put down the vapor/moisture barrier, then adhesive, then lay the floor in.
What’s the easiest way to scrape/clean off left over paint and drywall mud, texture mud, old linoleum flooring? We need this done fast, and using a manual scraping tool is just out of the question.
Help!!!!!!!!!!
PS: We’re talking about 550 sq ft.
Is My Concrete Slab Ready For Tile? (pics)?
i am looking to tile my entry foyer. originally it had tile that i scraped up. only a little bit of mortar was left. bamboo floors were then installed by gluing the planks directly to the slab.
we have decided that we want to tile the entry foyer again to break up the wood flooring. so far i have ripped all the planks up and removed as much of the glue as i possibly could. i spent a good 7hours yesterday with adhesive remover, razor scrapes, floor scrapes, hot water, etc…
i am at the point where i want to start tiling and im not 100% sure i got enough of the glue off the ground.
please click on the links to the pictures i took of the floor and let me know if you think the floor is ready or if i need to continue to get more of the glue off. im guessing if i have to get more glue off, a concrete sander is my next and only option. all help is greatly appreciated.

How Do You Clean Black Tile/carpet Adhesive Off Of A Concrete Floor?
I recently pulled up an old carpet from our basement that was covering old tile. The black glue/adhesive from the flooring is on the floor. Most of the heavy stuff is scraped up and the black that is still on there comes off on your socks or shoes but doesnt wash off well with amonia..Any other suggestions?

Can Linoleum Trap Moisture Between It And The Concrete Slab?
We are removing the linoleum in our kitchen to install bamboo floors. It came up fairly easy (with just pulling). However, the linoleum backing and glue did stay behind. It appears to be damp and the glue and backing come off pretty easy with a razor blade. It did a moisture test and it came back positive with moisture but only looked like it was at the top of the concrete. Can linoleum hold moisture and if we let it dry out, will we still have a problem later on? I can’t figure out if the moisture is coming from the slab or somewhere else (maybe due to mopping). Thanks!!!
