How Do I Prepare A Cement Floor For Carpet Installation? Do I Need To Worry About Small Amounts Of Adhesive?
We removed old carpeting from our basement. It had been glued to the cement and though we used an ice scraper to remove most of the carpet foam there are spots where a slight residue remains. Do I need a special chemical to remove the residue, or will the new padding and carpet mask this?

Any Tips? About To Start Gluing Down Bamboo Flooring Over Concrete?
bamboo flooring needs special flooring adhesive but you need to seal the floor first with 1 part P.V.A glue 4 parts water mix well hoover floor to remove debris spread pva mixture with brush or roller 2 coats are better leave to dry then spread bamboo adhesive with notched trowel thats a trowel tilers use its like a combe use the smaller toothed side dont spread more adhesive than you can cover with bamboo in 10 minutes best way is to lay a few meters first do all the cuts but dont do the cuts in same room or you will have sawdust everywhere mark your cut pieces on the underside so you know where they fit then spread adhesive and lay floor. repeat untill complete dont forget leave a 5mm gap all around personally i remove skirting boards and replace with new it looks better than the silly edging they sell and it looks more professional good luck oh dont WALK ON FLOOR FOR AT LEAST 12 HOURS and dont lay adhesive to thick or it will ooze through joints good luck again

People told me I need to worry about buying a good quality bamboo flooring but what is a good brand??? Was it easy to install yourself? If you paid to get it installed how much did it cost you per square foot?

Question About Vinyl Flooring?
We’re soon going to have new vinyl flooring installed. I’d like to know what works best for keeping it clean. I’ve used mop and bucket, and I’ve also used Swiffer wet cloths. My problem with both is that the water/cloth gets dirty so fast, and I feel like I’m just spreading the mess over the whole floor. Does anyone have any better ideas? I’m talking day-to-day cleaning, because I know that every now and then it will need to be scrubbed with me on my hands and knees. 
I should also mention that the main things that end up on our floor come from our two bunny cages. I probably don’t need to elaborate. Heh.
