To lay coconut coir matting please use a sharp stanley blade and change the blade when blunting occurs. It is best practice to cut coir matting from the PVC backing side. Measure you area to be fitted and cut using a straight edge, cutting 1mm shorter then net measurement to allow for expansion. Once cut fit coir mat into matwell and bloaster or tuck the sides down, you can apply spray adhesive to make coir mat grab to the sub-floor, or just loose lay. We prefer to loose lay the coir matting as it makes it easier in the future to take out coir matting from matwell and shake down outside.
