What Color Wall Paint Would Be Good To Balance Out A Dark Purple Carpet?

Author: I wanted to repaint my room and I would like to keep the carpet that I have. What color wall paint would be a good way to balance the purple carpet out? The molding is pure white and the carpet is a medium-light purple outlining the carpet and a darker purple on the inside. I am a teenager but I would like to keep it elegant but fun, if possible. Thanks for your help. (Points will be rewarded to the best answer.)

It depends on how you want to feel, the color of your furniture and the style you are after. Are you 13 or 17? A golden yellow, squash or gold will feel warm and elegant. A lime green, chartreuse or apple green will feel lively. A lilac or lavender (the medium-light purple or even lighter) will feel calm. Too much purple? You could use a neutral light pewter and accent with green plants in charcoal urns. Too drab or cold? You could use a neutral almond, ivory or beige and punch it up with yellow, orange, red or pink accents. Purple is between red and blue so golds and greens will complement. Do you have bedding which you can pull a colors from? I hope this helped somewhat.

well if you want it to be fun and go kinda out on a limb id say green but probably a lighter green like lime green or possibly a gold either
green and purple go well together but the gold will compliment the purple
if you want to be on the safe side id have to say go with a cream or off-white color
A light soft grey-blue will complement the carpet and the trim. If you want some excitement in colour in the room, look for a teal that goes with the purple, or a deep blue, to use in accessories and bedding.
Since the molding is white, maybe more of an ivory
